FERRY

From Tuckton Tea Gardens at Tuckton Bridge, from Wick Ferry and from Christchurch Quay there is a frequent ferry service to Mudeford Sandbanks for the beach and Hengistbury Head. The ferry runs from April to October, weather permitting. There is also a ferry service across the river from Christchurch to Wick, which links to the Stour Valley Way. From Mudeford Quay a ferry service runs every 12 minutes from Easter to late October and at weekends in the winter to Mudeford Sandbank. When the flag is flying, they are running! LAND TRAIN

The Land Train or Noddy Train, as it is affectionately known, runs frequently from the Hiker Café to Mudeford Sandbank every day except Christmas Day. The journey is 1½ miles and takes 15 minutes.
Fares are one way only and paid to the driver.
