Membership
Fees
The membership fees will be fixed at the AGM at an amount sufficient
to cover the running costs of the organisation for the following
year.
Meetings
The Organisation will hold an Annual General Meeting once a
year and as many other meetings and activities as members desire.
The AGM will be held following 14 days notice to all members
in writing. The Chairman and Committee will be elected by a
show of hands.
Chairman
and Committee
The Organisation will elect a Chairman each year at the AGM.
A Committee will also be elected at the AGM and will consist
of the Chairman, a Secretary and a Treasurer plus any other
posts as deemed necessary.
Finance
1) All money raised by or on behalf of the Organisation is to
be used only in furthering the objectives above
2) The Treasurer will open a Bank Account in the name of the
Organisation
3) Cheque signatories will be nominated by the Committee, one
of whom will be the Treasurer
4) All cheques and instructions to the bankers will require
two signatories
5) The Treasurer will prepare accounts on an annual basis. These
will be independently scrutinised by a suitably-qualified person
and presented at the AGM.
6) In the event of dissolution of the Organisation, any monies
already allocated for a specific purpose for Hengistbury Head
shall be transferred to the appropriate department within Bournemouth
Borough Council. Any remaining monies will be donated to a suitable
charity in accordance with the objectives, which will be determined
at a meeting specifically called for that purpose.
Amendments
to the Constitution
The Constitution may be altered by simple majority at any AGM
provided that prior notice of the proposed change has been sent
to all members in writing.
