THE CONSTITUTION

as agreed at the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 23 May 2006

Title of the Organisation "Hengistbury Head Supporters Group"

Objectives
1) To assist in the protection of Hengistbury Head and surrounds("the Head") as an Ancient Monument, Local Nature Reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a Public Open Space and designated Green Belt
2) To conserve the environment, mainly using volunteers, for the benefit of the Head
3) To contribute to the Management Plan for the Head and support its aims and objectives
4) To educate members of the Group and the general public about the Head
5) To facilitate the gathering of scientific and other information useful in the management of the Head
6) Assist the Hengistbury Head staff in the day to day tasks
7) To raise funds for specific projects in connection with the objectives above

Membership
The Organisation aims to be inclusive to all people and membership will not be discriminatory on any grounds. Activities may be subject to the natural restrictions posed by the environment in which the work is undertaken, where safety is of the primary importance. A condition of membership is to sign up to the broad objectives above.Membership may be terminated due to non-compliance of any by-laws or other regulations relevant to the good management of the Head
